THE TREE
Vigor: medium growth, easy to manage.
Flowers: about the same as Golden Delicious

THE FRUIT
Size: medium
Color: very well colored, bright red, presence of intense stripes. Skin: not very thick, smooth, slightly waxy. Shape: oblong fruit

The variety SchniCo (s) was originated from a bud mutation of the variety Gala Schnitzer Schniga ® (s). It was  discovered in in bud wood orchard of KSB (Corzano/Breschia)

THE FRUIT
Size: medium-large, conical fruit
Color: pronounced and intensive over color; early and dark red blushed coloring, coloring on the total surface of the fruit.
Skin: not very thick, smooth, slightly waxy.
Shape: oblong fruit
Flesh: yellowish, juicy flesh with moderate sugar content, low acidity

HARVEST AND STORAGE
Harvest time: mid to end of August, good shelf life to January / February

CHARACTERISTICS
high production, with new virus-free generation of Schniga significant fruit enlargement.

The variety Schniga was discovered by (F. Schnitzer, Dorf Tirol, Südtirol); it was originated from a bud mutation on a tree of the variety Tenroy (Royal Gala).

Vigor: medium growth, well-branched, high productivity
Flowering: mid-late flowering (two days before Golden Delicious)
Pollinators: Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Pinova, Red Delicious, Evereste, Prof.Sprenger

THE FRUIT
Size: medium, fruit
Color: intense and dark red color (covers almost the entire fruit surface); good over color with very pronounced stripes, early coloring
Skin: not very thick, smooth, slightly waxy.
Form: oblong fruit (truncated-conical)
Flesh: yellow, juicy flesh

Harvest time: mid to end of August, good shelf life to January/February

CHARACTERISTICS
Due to the early coloring, Gala Schnitzer (S) Schniga ® can be harvested at an optimum ripeness time.
