The next step is the grafting of rootstocks which is done with the help of a technically advanced planting machine
In the second year it is necessary to cut off the lower sprouts of young trees to a height of 65-70 cm.
A constant and sufficient irrigation is essential for the growth of young trees.
All rootstocks are grafted in the summertime (July-August).
The new technique of chip budding is used to do the grafting in summer. All shoots and leavesare cutoff of the stem to a height of 30 cm. (uniform sprouting of young trees in Spring)
The targeted treatment of top shoots induces the development of side shoots in young trees.
