Colour: green-yellow, yellow at full ripeness, red cheek possible
Skin: not very thick, smooth, little waxy, conspicuous and lightly russet lenticels, tendency to russeting

Shape: slightly oblong or flat
Fruit flesh: yellowish, firm, crunchy, juicy, sweet-sour, quite aromatic, very good flavour
Harvest period: early to mid September, same as Golden Delicious, less susceptible to a premature fruit abscission Storability: very good shelf life in controlled atmosphere until June
High and constant yields, early harvest, good fruitfulness and fruit size.
Colour and form are susceptible to russeting, uniform and typical lenticels.

Golden Delicious Reinders

General information:

´Golden Delicious Reinders' is a mutation and originally from the Netherlands. This cultivar attracts attention with its fruits that are very uniform and almost not susceptible to russeting.

Its growth is a little bit weaker compared to the original cultivar, well ripened fruits can be tangerine coloured, especially when exposed to the sun.

A more spherical size, shorter harvest period, only suitable for stores with danger of russeting as less susceptible to russeting than Klon B.

General information:

 Golden Delicious Smoothee (R) is a bud mutation of Golden Delicious and was discovered by C.B. Gibson in Pennsylvania, USA, in 1958.

Its skin it's not very thick, smooth; slight tendency to russeting, conspicuous lenticels but smaller number than in Golden Lb.
Shape: oblong

Fruit flesh: yellowish, firm, crunchy, juicy and sweet, low acid content.

Fruits: good flavour, little susceptible to russeting, very smooth skin, a little smaller as the fruit size is concerned and a little greener compared to Klon B.
Storage: until late June in controlled atmosphere

Tree vigour: medium to strong, lateral branches with open angle

Blossom: middle/late, good pollen quality

Pollination: Jonathan, Ozark Gold, Red Delicious ,Granny Smith, Gloster 69,Summared.

Season: harvested from early to mid September

Gala Decarli is a mutation of Gala discovered by De Carli Alberto (South Tyrol).

Overcolour: early and very intense washed-out red colour, almost the whole fruit surface is slightly striped. Despite its intense coloration, De Carli is a typical Gala apple (conspicuous lenticels and silver film). Very high percentage of intense body colour even in areas where the fruit coloration is weak. Very good colour stability. Suitable to be grown even in areas where the fruit coloration is weak.

Gala Venus "Fengal"

General information:

Gala Venus is a mutation of Gala and was discovered in South Tyrol.

Overcolour: intense, lively red; distinctly striped; very fine stripes.

The fruit colour covers most of the fruit surface.

All fruits are uniformly coloured. Venus Fengal (s) shows a good colour stability.

Very high percentage of fruits with bright colour.

Venus Fengal is very similar to the traditional Gala cultivar.4

General information:

 Early Red One is a variety with an early harvest beginning and high yields.
Its growth matches the standard growth.

The fruit coloration is very intense and uniform.

Once the fruits are ripened they become brightly coloured.

It develops a washed-out red fruit colour. 
The shape is somewhat flatter than with other Red Delicious mutations.

This cultivar is particularly appropriated for growing in areas where the fruit coloration is weak.

Hapke Delicious Select

 Mutation of Starking Delicious, discovered by  F. Hapke in British Columbia (Canada) in 1954.

Growth: strong, upright

Blossom: early to mid .
Pollination: Golden Delicious, Jonathan, Granny Smith, Idared, Summerred, Gala, Crimson Gold.
Size: middle to large.
Colour: green ground colour, planar red stripes as fruit body colour.
Skin: rather thick, smooth, little waxy, large number of conspicuous white lenticels of medium size, sometimes slightly susceptible to russeting.
Shape: oblong, pronounced edges.
Fruit flesh: green-white, firm, crunchy, juicy, high sugar content, little acid, aromatic, intense flavour only at ideal ripeness.

Harvest period: mid September, not pressure-sensitive, susceptible to premature fruit abscission.
Among all standard mutations, Hapke Delicious has the most uniform and most coloured fruits. This cultivar is suitable to be grown on valley sides and slight hillsides.

Sandidge is a spur type with similar growth vigour as Red chief.

This variety has fruits of a medium size with green, smooth and slightly greasy skin. The fruit flesh has a green-yellowish colour and some acidity.
This cultivar of apple was discovered in Australia (Sydney) about 1868.

Braeburn Lochbuie (s) is a mutation of Braeburn and was discovered by Bill Turner in Christchurch (New Zealand).

Growth: upright, medium/strong, weaker and open growth after beginning of the crop cycle.
Blossom: diploid bloom, good pollen quality. Lochbuie (s) blossoms at the same time as Granny Smith.

Pollination: Gala, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Idared, Evereste.

Size: medium to big.

Colour: deep red Rot, ¾ to 4/4 of the fruit surface is covered with stripes, much more intense coloration than Breaburn.
Shape: conical, similar to Braeburn.
Fruit flesh: vey firm, juicy, balanced sugar-acid ratio
Harvest period: early September.

Storage: 7 months in controlled atmosphere.
Lochbuie (s) has a high percentage of well-coloured fruits on the tree. There are maximally two pickings necessary.

Idared


General information:

 The Idared apple originally comes from the USA.

This cultivar is a cross between two apple varieties, Jonathan and Wagener.

The Idared has a firm, crunchy body and a white, juicy fruit flesh.  Its taste is slightly sourish.

Its original colour is yellow-green, the overcolour tends to dark red and finally purple. The skin of this variety is spotted.

Jonagored

General information:

Jonagold is an apple cultivar developed in Geneva, USA.
Jonagored is a mutation of the aforementioned and is characterised by a large dark-red fruit flesh.It's a crossing of Golden Delicious with Jonathan.
This apple variety has a strong and even very strong growth respectively.
Most commonly, its shoots are planted shallowly causing this way many young sprouts to develop.
Blossom period: late and long.Size/shape: big, spherical, oblong
Colour
: yellow/orange on the sunny side with an intense red coloration
Flavour: sweet-and-sour, fruity. Low risk for fruits of being blown off the tree by light wind.Storage: very good.

Early appearance of fruit colour, more intense shade compared to the Pinova standard cultivar. Overcolour red/orange, stripes as well as shades of light red.

Flavour: sweet-and-sour, aromatic, very good eating quality

Size: long-conical, middle to large
Fruit flesh: very firm and juicy
Evelina -RoHo 3615 (s) differs from the Pinova standard cultivar by the following signs:
-optimized fruit appearance

-less picks are necessary

-almost all fruits on the tree are ideally coloured
